Just Days Away for Writers, Bloggers & Influencers of Color to Converge in Tribal-Themed Black Travel Event in Miami
Touted as a Tribal-themed Black travel networking fete, Tribe is a half-day mini summit connecting Black travelers and travel professionals. The event, set for Saturday, August 28, 2021 will be hosted at The Center for Black Innovation, 937 NW 3rdAvenue, Miami, FL, 33136, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

“Although traveling is the main focus of our event, financial freedom, careers in travel, and Black culture are at the foundation of what we do. This is the pre-cursor event for Black travelers wanting to find their tribe, whatever that means for them. If you are looking for a new travel group, advice on budget traveling, starting a travel career, or even starting your own business to gain the flexibility to travel more, this is the event for you,” says Founder and CEO of Black Travel Summit, Anita Francois.
An impressive line-up of presenters and experts will be at the event to give travel advise and kickstart your future in the industry. They include model, serial entrepreneur and travel influencer, Kylie Alexis, founders of Certified Africa, Kristin and Nii Quaye, budget travel expert and influencer, Shakeema Smith, and influencer, Sharinda Williams-Simmons. Michael Hurley, Global Sales Director of Hyatt, and Amy Johnson, General Manager at The Confidante Hotel in Miami Beach will be the Keynote speakers.
Guests are invited to show up in tribal masks and garb for a dynamic opportunity for Black millennial and Gen Z travelers and travel connoisseurs to network, discuss Black travel culture, financial freedom and careers in travel, and to support Black-owned business in the popup shop, while enjoying international cuisine, travel-inspired cocktails, Afrobeats, and good vibes.
Tickets for Tribe are on sale at a cost of $30 for general admission and $40 for VIP. There is also a virtual admission of $10 for those who want to attend online. Sponsors include Hyatt, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Seychelles Tourism.
