Join the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust in Preserving the Historic Rickenbacker Central Mini-Rain for All to Enjoy!
WHAT: The Virginia Key Beach Park Trust (VKBPT) presents The Historic Mini-Train Renovation Project; a series of events to help raise awareness and explore the past times of Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. Enjoyed by children and adults alike, participants will help: renovate the Historic Mini-Train Station and Create a Digital “In Tunnel Experience”. Together, we can build a phenomenal train ride experience that provides fun, entertainment and a learning component for Historic Virginia Key Beach Park visitors.
Guests are invited to participate in the following series of events:
EVENT 1: Cocktails on the Rooftop Fundraiser
Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeurves on the rooftop as you experience Historic Virginia Key Beach Park through fun, interactive activities as you explore different destinations.

EVENT 2: If Seats Could Talk Art Exhibition
An art exhibition that showcases 12 South Florida local artists who captured the remarkable spirit of the Miami Marine Stadium by repurposing the stadium seats into beautiful art works while telling the story of Virginia Key. Both the Marine Stadium and Historic Virginia Key Beach Park share a rich history on Virginia Key and hold extraordinary memories in the hearts and minds of South Floridians.
